Twixmas Party time!

Firstly, as always, a huge massive thank you to Kerry for organising another fantastic night and another evening of laughter, friends and dancing. We had sparkles, glitter, sequins, tinsel, what else could we ever need!

We had an evening of drinks, food, dancing, laughter, raffle and awards with a bit more dancing at the end!Everyone attending got a small gift on arrival with a welcome drink token and all attendees were entered into a raffle. Kerry thinks of everything!

We had dancing from ABBA to My Chemical Romance (after begging from Jess & Lara!) and everything in between. Dance routines were plentiful, with no one agreeing on the right moves which makes it even better!!

For the second year the club awards were included and Kerry’s fab Little Miss awards too. We also had a bonus club award to hand out too.

Moving onto our main club awards. Firstly thank you to everyone who took their time to nominate someone, these awards are a historical key part of our club and a way we love to celebrate our members.

Beginner Of the Year

Beginner of the year is chosen by the volunteers and members that help lead the beginner courses throughout the year. This year we had courses in the spring and winter.

It was a close vote with a runner from each of the courses having almost the same number of votes, however the Beginner of the year this year was part of the January 2024 course, she just pipped the top spot and had comments such as “Grown in confidence” and “integral member” said about her. A massive congratulations to our 2024 Beginner of the year, Ros Trent.

(Ros was unable to attend but will delivered her award!)

Leader/Coach of the year

8 of our 16 leaders were nominated which is fantastic! One leader was an absolute clear winner and things such as: encouraging, great sense of humour, makes everyone welcome, happy, chatty, reliable, steps up, inclusive, caring, supportive, kind and conscious. Basically every positive word we want in a leader!  were used to describe her. Congratulations and thank you to our 2024 Leader of the year, Louise Cooley.

Bonus award This is to honour and celebrate a huge achievement one of our sisters made this year (and twice before, we have since found out) that not everyone may have know about so we wanted to celebrate her here today. Congratulations to Pat Rogers who was the overall RR10 Ladies v75 Champion for this years RR10 season.

Runner of the year

This came down to two members, with just one nomination in between them. They have both had amazing years and been fantastic involved club members. As it was so close I wanted a little shout out to our runner up. Our Runner up this year was Tracey Middleton. She had things such as “commitment” “improved” and “helpful” said about her. Thank you for being a fab sister! Moving onto our Runner of the Year winner. This year's winner had things such as “dedication”, “strength to strength”, “commitment”, “improved”, “new challenges”, “wears club vest with pride”, “takes part in everything”, “supportive” and “a lovely sister”. A huge congratulations and well done to our Runner of the year 2024, Bex Grant

Congratulations to all our winners. Thank you to everyone that attended our Twixmas party this year, we hope you had a great evening, and hopefully we’ll see you at Twixmas 2025…

Merry Twixmas everyone P.s Please see the Photocircle app to access all the photos or share any you took.
